Saturday, February 10, 2024:

In his first start since breaking his maiden Dec. 29th GUY NAMED JOE (’21 c. American Pharoah / Hungry Island) earned his first black type, as well as his first triple digit Equibase speed figure (100), when he finished third in the Camino Real Derby at Golden Gate Fields.

Purchased by DENNIS O’NEILL out of last year’s OBS June sale for $100,000, the colt is trained by DOUG O’NEILL for the partnership of MY WAY RACING LLC, WEST COAST STABLES LLC, BARBARA EVENSON, JOHN O’KEEFE and TIMOTHY E. O’KEEFE. The sophomore has been off the board just once out of 6 career outings.

Best of luck to GUY NAMED JOE and all of his connections!
