RESILIENCE (’21 c. Into Mischief / Meadowsweet) celebrated his 3rd birthday with an impressive maiden win at Gulfstream Park on January 1st. Bred and owned by PAM & MARTIN WYGOD the sophomore made his fourth career start a winning one defeating seven rivals going a mile and a sixteenth over the Gulfstream dirt course.
The BILL MOTT trainee after a sound start was content to sit off the pace under jockey JOHN VELASQUEZ before taking the lead at the top of the stretch and kicking clear for a 4 ¼ length victory.
We wish this talented colt and all of his connections the very best in 2021!
Saturday, Dec. 10:

Sent off at odds of nearly 10-1, the PETER MILLER trainee broke on top and set all the fractions to win by half a length over the favorite.
A $38,000 purchase by her conditioner, as agent, out of this year’s OBS April Sale, MADISON RAE has made 4 career starts for owners CYBT, RAFTER JR. RACING LLC, STD RACING STABLE and MICHAEL NENTWIG, winning twice and finishing third once. The newly crowned stakes- winner has earnings of $109,940.

Sunday, Dec. 3:
REDDAM RACING LLC’s talented gelding TODAY’S FLAVOR (’18 Laoban / Evangelical) took down the 2023 running of the New York Stallion Series Stakes in splashy fashion Sunday at Aqueduct.
Breaking sharply from the eight-hole in a field of eight, TODAY’S FLAVOR wasted no time clearing the field and crossing over to the rail to set the early fractions. However, when challenged to a speed duel by another foe, jockey JAVIER CASTELLANO opted to relinquish the lead and sit patiently in second until turning into the stretch. He then tipped TODAY’S FLAVOR to the outside of the leader and drew off to a 3½ length score.
Handled masterfully by trainer GEORGE WEAVER, the five-year-old has won eight out of thirteen starts since joining the conditioner’s barn in the fall of 2022. Ten of those starts were made this year resulting in 6 trips to the winner’s circle. His lifetime record now stands at 16.8.3.0 with earnings of $545,080.
We wish this classy horse and all his connections the very best of luck in 2024!
