Following her dazzling 10-length maiden-breaking score first time out. LINDA RICE trainee WITH THE ANGELS (’22 f. Omaha Beach / Sister Maragret) once again made racing look like a walk in the park as she went gate-to-wire in Sunday’s Joseph A. Gimma Stakes at Belmont at the Big A, scoring by 9 ¾ lengths owned by the partnership of WINNING MOVE STABLE, JOHN C. OXLEY, LADY SHEILA STABLE, RIDEAU RACERS LLC and SANFORD ROBBINS LLC the bay filly broke sharply and with a carefully measured ride by jockey JOSE ORTIZ controlled the pace and the race to remain perfect and garner her first black-type award.
Purchased by BRONCO BLOODSTOCK for just $65,000 out of the 2023 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale of New York-Breds, the talented filly blossomed into a $300,000 juvenile at this year’s OBS Spring Sale in April.

A big shout out to our hard-knocking home-bred REDDINGTON (’19 g. Uncaptured / Street Smart) and his connections, owners WIZARD STABLES and RUDIMA STABLE and conditioner EDWARD BARKER as they all teamed up to take down a salty allowance race at Belmont at the Big A Saturday. Dismissed at odds of 36 – 1 the gutsy gelding was given a masterful ride by jockey SAMMY COMMACHO, sitting just off the pace then swinging clear to chase down front-runners and prevail by three parts a length.
We’re so proud of REDDINGTON and wish him and his connections much racing luck in the future!

It was SEIZE THE GREY (’21 c. Arrogate / Smart Shopping) all the way on Saturday in the Grade 1 Pennsylvania Derby at Parx. MY RACEHORSE’S Preakness winner thrilled his multitude of owners yet again in the $1 million contest defeating 10 rivals in front-running style. Trained by hall-of-famer D. WAYNE LUCAS and piloted by regular jockey JAIME TORRES, SEIZE THE GREY bounced out to the lead a quarter mile into the race and subsequently made every pole a winning one. The unflappable son of Arrogate has amassed earnings of over $2.4 million and owns a record of 13-5-0-3.

Congratulations to BREGMAN FAMILY RACING LLC’S maiden-breaking winner LAURICE (’22 f. Bolt d’Oro / Major Z). Going post-ward in Saratoga’s sixth race on Saturday, LAURICE faced nine other juvenile fillies in the 5 ½ furlong turf contest. Pressing the pace under jockey JUNIOR ALAVARADO, the GEORGE WEAVER trainee took control in the stretch to win gamely by a half-length.
The future looks bright for LAURICE!

The third time was the charm for R.A. HILL STABLE and GEORGE WEAVER’S ‘POP IDOL’ (’22 f. Maclean’s Music / Unspurned) as she took down the third race Saturday at Woodbine. Going off as the post-time favorite, the filly was content to sit mid-pack before tipping out to reel in the leaders and cruise home to a 2 ¾ length victory.
