Sunday, Dec. 3:
REDDAM RACING LLC’s talented gelding TODAY’S FLAVOR (’18 Laoban / Evangelical) took down the 2023 running of the New York Stallion Series Stakes in splashy fashion Sunday at Aqueduct.
Breaking sharply from the eight-hole in a field of eight, TODAY’S FLAVOR wasted no time clearing the field and crossing over to the rail to set the early fractions. However, when challenged to a speed duel by another foe, jockey JAVIER CASTELLANO opted to relinquish the lead and sit patiently in second until turning into the stretch. He then tipped TODAY’S FLAVOR to the outside of the leader and drew off to a 3½ length score.
Handled masterfully by trainer GEORGE WEAVER, the five-year-old has won eight out of thirteen starts since joining the conditioner’s barn in the fall of 2022. Ten of those starts were made this year resulting in 6 trips to the winner’s circle. His lifetime record now stands at 16.8.3.0 with earnings of $545,080.
We wish this classy horse and all his connections the very best of luck in 2024!
Saturday, Dec. 2:
CHP RACING’s juvenile filly LADY DE BERRY (’21 Practical Joke / Tortuga Lady) faced off against nine other fillies Saturday at Del Mar in the Grade 3 ‘Jimmy Durante Stakes’ going 1 mile over a firm turf course. Content to settle at the back of the pack under jockey FLAVIEN PRAT, the filly angled out in the stretch to finish strongly, falling just a neck short of the victory. This impressive runner-up placing earns the CHAD BROWN trainee her first black type out of only three career starts.
Bred in Kentucky by PETER BLUM THOROUGHBREDS LLC, the daughter of Practical Joke was purchased by top bloodstock agent MIKE RYAN out of this year’s OBS March Sale. She has now tallied one win and one second from three starts and has earned $77,205.
Good luck to LADY DE BERRY and her connections in 2024!
Saturday, Dec 2:
Congratulations to KIN DON RACING, LLC’s TIZZY IN THE SKY ( ’19 Sky Kingdom / Tiz The Tide) who earned her first black type honor when finishing second in the Grade 3 ‘Go For Wand’ at Aqueduct on Saturday. After chasing the pace while four-wide through the first half of the race, the four-year-old filly was moved to the inside by jockey LUIS SAEZ and urged on to claim the second-place finishing position.
Bred in Kentucky by WEST ROCK STABLES, LLC and trained by TODD PLETCHER, TIZZY IN THE SKY has made 9 career starts, winning 3 and finishing second in 4. She has banked $283,900. We wish everyone much continued success!

Wavertree graduates claimed the top three spots Tuesday in the Pat Whitworth Illinois Debutante Stakes at Fan Duel Sportsbook and Horseracing. Crossing the wire first was RUMBRANT (’21 f. Paynter / Lil Rum Tum), just a head in front of DEVIL (’21 f. Fast Anna / Speed Devil). Rounding out the tri was BEEHIVE (’21 f. Temple City / Beeway). All three are owned and bred by S.D. BRILIE LTD PARTNERSHIP and trained by MICHAEL BOYCE.
Congratulations to this trio of talented two-tear-olds!
Sunday Nov 5:
REPOLE STABLES’ sophomore filly GIVE ME KISSES (’20 Street Sense / Agave Kiss) made her long-awaited return to the races a winning one when she took down Aqueducts fifth race on Sunday, an allowance for fillies and mares, three and up, going six furlongs over a fast main track. Off since December of 2022 when she was second in the Gin Talking Stakes at Laurel Park, the TODD PLETCHER trainee wasted no time getting back to the winners’ circle when she took command of the field of eight shortly after the break and never relinquished the lead, scoring by three and a half lengths.
Purchased for $210,000 as a yearling from the 2021 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Yearling Sale, the filly was on offer as a two-year-old at the 2022 Fasig-Tipton Gulfstream Sale where she was hammered down to REPOLE STABLES for $400,000. In addition to her allowance win and her stakes placing second, GIVE ME KISSES was a first-time-out maiden winner. From her three career starts she has earned $116,250.
Best of luck to all!
