Sunday, April 30: Super-speedy TODAY’S FLAVOR (’18 g. Laoban / Evangelical) cruised home a winner in Aqueduct’s eighth race on Sunday in the $100,000 Affirmed Success Stakes for New York-breds. Setting fractions of 22.47, 45.53 and 57.21 TODAY’S Flavor completed the six-furlong contest in 1:09.58 over a sloppy, sealed course.

Notching his first stakes win, the five-year-old gelding now boasts a record of 10-5-3-0 with earnings of $284,830. Carrying the purple & white silks of owner REDDAM RACING LLC, TODAY’S FLAVOR was once again piloted by MANNY FRANCO for conditioner GEORGE WEAVER.

March 26: CAROLYN WILSON’S three-year-old colt ONASA (’20 c. Always Dreaming / Silent Candy) broke his maiden Sunday at  Hawthorne while defeating eight other maiden special weight foes. Trained by LARRY RIVELLI, the bay colt dueled for the lead before shaking off the competition and drawing away to a four-length victory. ONASA was purchased by his owner at the 2022 OBS March Sale for $140,000

March 26: DIAMOND COOL (’20 g. Prospective / Patriotic Brother) scored his first career black-type on Sunday at Tampa Bay Downs when he ran second in the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Sophomore Stakes. The PATRICK BIANCONE trainee sat mid-pack about four off the rail before making a late run under jockey JAVIER CASTELLANO to come within a length and a quarter of the winner at the wire.

Owned by DIAMOND 100 RACING CLUB LLC, AMY E. DUNNE & PATRICK BIANCONE the three-year-old now earned over $76,000.

March 26: Coming off his first stakes score in the Mine That Bird Derby at Santa Anita on February 28. HENRY Q  (’20 c. Blame / Lunar Express) added Grade 3 black-type to his resume when finishing third in the Sunland Park Derby (G3) on Sunday.

Owned by THE DEL MAR GROUP  and trained by DOUG O’NEILL, the DENNIS O’NEILL yearling purchase has 2 wins and 1 third out of 5 career starts. He has earned $151,140.

March 26: REDDAM RACING LLC’s sophomore runner LOW EXPECTATIONS (’20 g. Nyquist / Eloquent Tribute) is out-performing his name having run second in Sunday’s Sunland Park Derby (G3). Coming into the race off of two consecutive wins, the ANTONIO GARCIA trainee took a big step up in class from starter-optional claiming company on March 3^rd to Sunday’s Grade 3 contest. The chestnut gelding rose to the occasion to finish a length & a quarter behind the winner & earn his first career black type.
